Ever since Bokeh Story Photos was born, I started this journey of photographing a variety of portrait sessions, including lifestyle, engagement, newborn, babies, children, family, senior, fashion, and headshots. These all fall under the main category of portraits. I decied that I do not want to be a wedding photographer long time ago. For most photographers, sometimes it takes years to know what you really want to do. Among all the sessions, I enjoy shooting styled or themed sessions the most. You all know that I started photography seriously since my daughter Audrey was born. I almost take pictures of her every day, so she has been in training for almost 4 years. We have been “working” together for a long time and we are a great team!
A few weeks ago, I was asked to do a product shoot and the vendor demanded to use Audrey as their model. This is like a dream coming true! The mommy and me team is finally working together. This time we took it seriously and shot it in my studio. The tiara combs are so elegant, so I have to use outfits that matches the elegant theme. I have this brand new little girl’s cocktail dress that I bought from a designer in China. It matches perfect with the silver tiara comb with her hair down. I just love styling kids and taking photos of them:) The other tiara is also silver, but has a tint of aqua on it. Audrey is going to be a flower girl at our good friends uncle Lawrence’s wedding and I just purchased this flower girl gown with aqua sash and flower. This time I put her hair up but leaving some bangs on each side. Not to mention that I only gave very little direction as of posing, but I did ask her where to stand and keep in that position. Audrey came up with most of these poses herself.
We had a little visitor during our “intermission” while Audrey changing to her second outfit. Wesley hopped in my studio and he was a little interested to allow me taking pictures of him. For a toddler like his age, it’s usually so hard to take a “sit-down” and smiling picture for them, especially the photographer is his mom. Surprisingly, he was in such a good mood and the little chair did help a lot. We had uncle and auntie entertain him and got him simle while sitting on that chair. It was still a lot of work for the entire product shoot, but all of us had so much fun and this is the most important part.
