Are you a wild animal lover? You will enjoy this post if you are!
We always have robins coming to build nest under our deck every spring. Three weeks ago, we found a baby robin fell out of the nest in our backyard, so we put the baby bird back in the nest. After a few minutes, all her siblings and parents flew away. This poor little thing tried to fly too, but fell out of the nest again. We decided to take her in. My husband has such a tender heart. He has been feeding the baby bird and training her how to fly. We took her to our backyard and tried to set her free one time, but she didn’t want to go. She wouldn’t even move when we get close to her. I guess she thinks we are her mommy and daddy and is very comfortable around us. She would even stand on our fingers, arms, and shoulder. Audrey and Wesley love her.
One day we fed her some food and water, but was looking for us after 30 minutes. We thought she might be hungry again, but my husband said she wasn’t. She just wanted him to pet on her head. One of her wings is broken from felling from a high spot while practicing flying, so she is healing right now. We will try to set her free again once she is healed. It’s going to be so hard for all of us because she is almost becoming a member of our family.
