Issue No. 2 of my Family Joy project this year focuses on the Chinese New Year celebration! It is always a tradition for us to cook a lot of dishes on Chinese New Year’s eve. Family members sit around the table to enjoy the good food. Although I have lived in the States for 16 years, my family still keeps the tradition to celebrate Chinese New Year. This year is the year of horse. Audrey and Wesley each has a ride-on rocking horse. They all dressed up in Chinese traditional outfit. We cooked and ate a lot. This is like another Christmas holiday meal for us.
One of my photography goals of this year is to get back on food pictures! I used to take tons of food pictures before moving to portrait. My husband is a great cook and it’s perfect for me to take pictures of him preparing the ingredients and cooking. Not to mention that my food photography on flick got Getty Image’s eye. Flickr in partnership with Getty Image want to license my photos for commercial use. Among the 60 photos they selected, there’re also my kids pictures and some model photos. I will not release those photos with people in it, but I am totally fine with Food pictures!
Stay tuned and you will see more food pictures coming this year! Wish you all have a prosperous 2014!
