Today my daughter Audrey turns 3! I am in tears because she is our first child and we all love her so much!
The story goes all the way back to the beginning of 2010. I was going through a series diagnosis of a big thyroid nodule with 70% chance of being cancer. The surgery was schedule at the beginning of March, 2010. One week before the original surgery date, I found out that I was pregnant! I was not able to conceive due to the thyroid nodule and also hashimoto disease, so I could not even believe that I was pregnant. My surgeon and care team worked with me on rescheduling my surgery to second trimester. I could only wait and pray that the baby would be okay after the surgery because I was put under general anesthesia. A few months passed and I had the thyroidectomy. Thank god it was not cancer, so I could still breastfeed after the baby is born. One of my friends at work told me that this baby could be a miracle to save my life. He had a dream that he saw me and the baby after 10 years and she is beautiful. A few more months passed and the baby was about to arrive. My design and development team gave me a surprise baby shower at work and I had Audrey the same night. They still think that Audrey was induced at that conference room.
I finally was relieved after Audrey was born healthy. Although I used to take pictures every day of people, food, and things I see; I didn’t get serious until after Audrey was born. I upgrade my Olympus E520 to a Canon 60D and bought a couple prime lens.
Because Audrey is so special to us, because Audrey is a miracle, because Audrey is our first child, I started document her growth by taking pictures and writing descriptions on almost every single picture. Taking pictures of Audrey becomes my every day routine. My family from all over the world expect to see pictures of her every night on my flickr. As of today, I have 69,764 photos and videos on my flickr account. I want to share a couple historical moments of Audrey. The first a couple were taken by me right after I delivered Audrey in birthing center. The big one was taken when Audrey turned 1 month.
This is our first family photo after Audrey was born taken by Sandy from Sandy a la Mode. The following two were taken by my mom when Audrey was 6 weeks. This is a collection of Audrey’s first year. The one she wore a pink tiara was taken on her first birthday.Audrey’s 15-24 months collection. The big photo was taken on her second birthday last year. We are not going to have any big birthday parties this year, so to celebrate her birthday I started dressing her up and taking lots of pictures of her. As you know, she loves posing and getting her photos taken. I have been really busy with Bokeh Story’s sessions and stopped taking pictures of my kids often, so this is a perfect opportunity for me to make up for them. Wesley is growing up so fast too! He will be 2 in 2 weeks! Mommy love you all!We took these pictures around 6pm last weekend and it started getting dark so fast. Audrey is such a daddy’s girl and she was having so much fun playing with daddy under the giant tree.
Last a couple were taken on Sunday morning. She just has so much facial expressions and poses that I couldn’t share all of them here. Happy birthday Audrey!

Thank you Audrey! You sure know what the name means!
These are the two most photogenic children I believe I have ever seen! Beautiful! And with your talent, they will have wonderful photos of every stage of their lives! Your story is touching, and you are so fortunate to have two healthy children!
