Hello everyone, this is my first ever blog on Bokeh Story Photos. I will do a brief introduction of the new name, logo, site and blog.
First, I changed the name of this site from Bokeh Story Photography to Bokeh Story Photos.
Next, I also re-designed the logo. It’s not a completely re-design, but the flower and bokeh are retouched and font and color are also changed. I moved the words a little further to the right, so it’s not too crowded with the flower. Logo design is not my specialty, but I tried:) I thought about buying a pre-made custom logo and looked quite a few, but I just didn’t like what I saw. When it comes to design, I’m pretty picky about what I want. So this is what I have so far. I might tweak it again!
Finally, the website! Did I mention I love responsive design? The new Bokeh Story site is also a responsive design site – meaning the layout will change responsively based on your device and screen resolution. Try it from your computer, tablet, and smart phone. You will be surprised!
The site navigation is on the top right – Home, Portfolio, Blog, Clients, and Info. My social buttons are a little hidden. You have to click on the + sign to open the accordion on the top right.
This new blog site design features a photo slider of my recent works and a small section of my portfolio items in the center. There’s also a small announcement area right underneath the photo slider. One featured blog post is always displayed at the bottom left of the homepage. The clients and vendors placeholders are right next to the featured post area. The footer is pretty self-explanatory.
The portfolio section contains my latest photography projects. It is delivered in either a lightbox to preview the featured image, or you can view the detailed portfolio item in a blog style post.
The Clients section is under construction. I’m going to include password protected online gallery for all Bokeh Story Photos clients. More cool features will be added on the site, such as a calendar of my availablity.
About, pricing, contact, and sitemap pages are under Info menu.
I named the blog Bokeh Stories. It’s more personal than just blog. Each photo session is unique, I’m going to include some behind the scene pictures in my blog.
Stay tuned…
