Time flies. Can’t believe it’s at the end of 2013! Also I have kept my promise by doing project 10×12 every month this year! It is a unique and personal project. This project allows me to capture sweet moments among my own family members.
I took a few days off of my day job to spend some quality time with Audrey and Wesley before the holidays. My dad flew all the way from China to spend the holiday with us. I only get to see my dad once or twice a year. Last time he came in March. The kiddos of course missed grandpa a lot. We had a big winter storm right before the holidays, so both my dad and my father in law worked together to build a snowman. Audrey and Wesley had lots of fun watching grandpas making snowman. The snow in Kansas City is so dry, that it’s almost impossible to make snowballs. My dad used water to freeze some snow together and finally made the head.
When we cannot go out, we had to find some fun indoor. We had some fun taking Christmas bokeh photos. I love bokeh and telling stories. My dad spent some time helping Audrey and Wesley writing letters to Santa. They are too little to write words, so we used lots of stickers. Audrey did a good job making her letter filled with holiday spirit. The snowman took two days to complete. My dad finally put the head on. We used Audrey’s old dress as a hat, Wesley’s balls as buttons, Audrey’s playfood as eyes and nose, and a potato as mouth. Stay tuned for another story for the real big family reunion…
